Situated just North of The Border between England & Scotland, some 8 miles north of Carlisle, Braids Caravan Park is now open all year round.

If visiting Gretna, Gretna Green or are looking to explore Dumfries & Galloway in South Scotland. The Braids Caravan Park provides the ideal base to discover the many interesting features of the area.

The Braids Caravan Park is a full facility park offering hard standing or grass pitches. We welcome Rallies and as active caravanners will do our utmost to ensure your visit is a success.

Clean and well appointed toilet & showers including disabled facilities are available on site.

We have a high level of security with a barrier operated system and our toilets are kept locked with keys being issued on arrival.

Excellent laundry facilities with automatic washing machine, tumble drier and ironing facilities are open from 7.00am to 9.00pm every day.

Pitches : Braids Caravan Park offers both grass and hard standing pitches and there are a few Super Pitches on hard standing available with water and electric on hand. We also have Camper/Motor home pitches which are quite level and most of our pitches have electric hook-ups.

Toilet & Shower Facilities : There are two blocks on the park, one containing a laundry and disabled toilet. Our showers and toilets are cleaned every day and kept to a high standard of cleanliness. There is plenty of hot water available, both on tap and for the showers. The latter costing 20p for approximately 7 to 10 minutes. There are hand dryers and hairdryers, the latter again costing 20p.

Services : There are two chemical disposal points and two dishwashing areas and for Camper/Motor Homes we have a waste water point and a fresh water supply point.

We have an emergency telephone situated behind the reception area and of course John & Isabel are nearly always on hand to give what information they can.

Our park consists of 6 acres of ground with a variety of trees and flowers. We have several different types of birds in and around the park. Because we have trees and shrubs in the park they attract a wide variety of birds. Finches, Robins, Bluetits, Siskins, Yellow Hammers, Doves and Pigeons to name but a few.
