We're a family run, family orientated camping and caravan park in North Yorkshire situated at the gateway to the North York Moors, approximately 30 minutes from idyllic coastal towns including Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay. We have a separate Touring Field for tents, caravans & motor homes with hard standing and grass pitches. There is also a separate area with views stretching out over the Yorkshire countryside home to a number of Static Caravans for Hire & Sale. Our site is nestled behind the Black Bull Inn approximately one mile south of Pickering on the A169. You can take the Coastliner Bus and 'Moorsbus' to Pickering, North Yorkshire Moors Railway, the Yorkshire coast and North York Moors - perfect for those who want to leave their car on-site. There are a range of Facilities on-site, including a children's playground, separate sports field and games room. There's also a swimming pool in Pickering or across the road from us there's a golf course. The Black Bull Inn (separately owned from the park), has a new chef for 2011 and has recently undergone refurbishment & development. The Inn serves traditional food and local beers. This is a dog friendly caravan park but please use the designated dog walk and keep your pets on a lead. Located in a designated area of the park are a number of static caravan for hire. This area of the site is very popular with residents and guest alike, due to the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful views stretching out over the North Yorkshire countryside. Our modern static caravans are fully serviced with two bedrooms, six berth, full central heating, double glazing, shower and WC. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, fridge and microwave. The lounge/dining area has a fire, TV and DVD player. Dogs welcome in pre-booked units. Short breaks are also available. The site has 72 level pitches on an open field with some privacy and shelter, accommodating tents, trailer tents, caravans and motor homes. The pitches are a mix of grass and hardstanding pitches, and many have electric hookup. There is no charge for awnings. Refurbished toilet/shower/washing up and laundry facilities. There are free hot showers which we pride ourselves on keeping as clean as we can (See our Customer Feedback) We are a dog friendly caravan park and dogs are welcome free of charge.
