Situated in the beautiful Thirlmere Valley off the A591 near the junction of St. John's-in-the-Vale at the foot of Sticks Pass.
This area of stunning beauty makes a stay at Stybeck farm ideal for
touring or walking, with the Helvellyn Range behind on which sheep graze.
Lakeland stone barn and the former sheep penning area of Stybeck Farm and near to Barn-Gill House. It is ideally situated for individual walkers, groups and touring visitors, with numerous walks and places of interest within easy rech, including gill scrambling in nearby Fisher-Gill, mountain biking, fell walking and running.
Accommodation is for 10 people in bunk beds (mattresses and pillows provided),also includes calor gas cooker electric shower and toilet, plus a separate seating/cooking area which includes sink, electric kettle, microwave and heating (some electricity metered, heating extra). Access is approximately a quarter of a mile from the main A591 road with ample car parking beside the barn. The National coach stop is a quarter of a mile and pub/restaurant meals are also close by.
