Proctors Stead Caravan Park, Caster, Alnwick, Northumberland

Campsite on the Northumberland Coast with camping facilities for tents and caravans. With all required facilities, including showers toilets and electric hook-ups.
Proctor's Stead is a small, friendly, family run caravan and camping park situated one mile from the sea and surrounded by areas of outstanding natural beauty. The park itself is a level, sheltered, well-kept green, catering for up to approx. 60 caravans and tents.
Our facilities include spotlessly clean showers, toilets and washbasins with hot water (facilities are cleaned at least twice daily); power points for shavers and hairdryers; dishwashing area. We also have a coin-operated washing machine and separate tumble dryer. Electric hook-ups available on request.
Dogs are allowed but MUST be kept tied up when on site and not permitted to roam. They are to be exercised off-site.
Food : Certain dairy produce is available from us at any time of the day. The nearest shop is in Craster (the setting for ITV's 'Distant Shores'), about one mile away. Craster is famous for its kippers and has a wonderful seasonal seafood restaurant, as well as a pub which over looks the sea. For those who do not wish to cook, the Cottage Inn is only a short stroll away and serves excellent bar and restaurant meals.
Proctor's Stead is ideally situated as a base for your holiday, whether it is for a week or just a couple of days. To the south is situated Alnmouth and Warkworth, and to the north you can find Newton, Beadnell, Seahouses, Bamburgh, Lindisfarne (Holy Island) and Berwick upon Tweed; inland you can visit Alnwick, Rothbury and Wooler.
