Description

West Kyloe offers an idyllic setting for a holiday in North Northumberland. Situated on a 600-acre beef, sheep, and arable farm that includes part of the scenic Kyloe Hills, it offers stunning walks with panoramic views encompassing the coast, Kyloe Woods, the Cheviot Hills and Scotland. Just a 10-minute drive from Lindisfarne (Holy Island), it's perfectly positioned for exploring the local landscape.

Our sunny, secluded touring site spans two acres and can accommodate 12 vans, overlooking the picturesque Mill pond. The main area of the site is level, with a sloping section near the walled garden that fits four vans, making it ideal for motorhomes. Tents are also welcome by prior arrangement.

The site features electric hook-ups for all 12 spots and a utility block that includes three toilets, a shower room, a large wet room with electric showers, a dishwashing room and an information room. We pride ourselves on maintaining these facilities to the highest standards of cleanliness.

Visitors can enjoy a communal room located in the Mill Buildings, which offers sofas, a large dining table, various board games and a football table. The surrounding area provides excellent walking routes, and maps and details are available in the information room.

Dogs are welcome, provided they are supervised by their owners.

The farm is open to visitors from mid-April through early October, with advanced booking recommended during peak holiday periods. We encourage visitors to explore the expansive countryside surrounding the farm, where you may spot foxes, roe deer and a diverse array of birds, depending on the season.

West Kyloe is conveniently located within a fifteen-minute drive of Northumberland National Park to the west, the Scottish border to the north, and pristine sandy beaches to the east. Nearby amenities include several excellent golf courses, a top-notch horse riding centre and permit fishing on the River Till. The farm is also just one mile from the renowned 'St Cuthbert’s Walk'.

Further afield, Northumberland offers numerous historic sites open to the public, such as Alnwick Castle and its famous gardens, Cragside, Chillingham Castle and Floors Castle, among others. The Northumberland National Park and the Cheviot Hills provide exceptional opportunities for walking and enjoying the tranquility of unspoiled natural surroundings.
