Bridge House Caravan Site, Clifton Hampden, Abingdon, Oxfordshire

The picture postcard village of Clifton Hampden, with its thatched cottages, is the perfect centre for a lazy break by the River Thames, fishing, walking or messing about in boats.
Clifton Hampden is just over an hour from the centre of London and only 10 miles from the dreaming spires of Inspector Morse's Oxford.
The historic market town of Abingdon is minutes away by car, as is the delightful village of Dorchester with its famous abbey and antiques shops.
When you have finished a hard day's messing about, relax with a bbq or visit one of the village's friendly pubs : The Plough, with its reputation for excellent food and The Barley Mow, where Jerome K Jerome's "Three Men in a Boat" stayed during their literary trip up the Thames.
