Riverside Camping, Pontrug, Caernarfon, Gwynedd

Situated on the edge of Snowdonia, nestling in a loop of the river Seiont, Riverside Camping is a delightful, level four and a half acre family site, attractively landscaped and sheltered.

The benefit of being close to both sea and mountains, makes it a desirable holiday destination, where there is never a shortage of things to do.

The campsite is on the same property as our attractive garden centre, with its water garden and the old mill building now 'The Mill Café' in the background. Most of our plants are grown in our large nursery nearby, so keen gardeners will be in their element.

The Mill Café has been developed in what was an old woolen mill. Inside it is spacious and full of character and serves an interesting constantly changing menu of home cooked food which always includes an all day breakfast, snacks and hot meals. Packed lunches and special take out meals can be arranged for campers.

One of its special features is the large balcony seating area which overlooks the delightful campsite and garden centre, ideal for warm sunny days.

We take a Maximum of 26 caravans and motorhomes (with 26 electric hookups) and 35 tents. Cars can be parked next to each unit. Tents and caravans, although usually sited separately, can be pitched together. There is hard standing on pitch number 21 and 22.

Please note mobile phone reception is minimal. Vodaphone is about the only provider with reception on site. You can obtain reception with just a 200 yard walk.

There is a large separate shower and toilet room with baby changing for the disabled and families with very young children. There are bookable pitches nearby for convenience.

For the children the campsite is a wonderful natural playground, in which to explore. There is the river to paddle or swim in (with supervision). Plenty of space for games - including ball games and a play area with swings, slide, seesaw and sandpit.

Dogs are allowed on the site, if kept on a lead at all times, it helps to bring a stake and a long lead for this. There is a separate dog walking area, please note all owners must be responsible for clearing up after their dogs (a special bin is provided).
