Bwch Yn Uchaf, Llanuwchllyn, Gwynedd

This beautifully set park is situated in Snowdonia National Park at the foot of the beautiful Aran and Arenig mountain range a mile from Bala Lake. Our family run site on the edge of the picturesque village of Llanuwchllyn enjoys panoramic views of stunning scenery and is an ideal base to explore the areas many attractions including scenic walks (some of which start straight from the park).
The shallow sparklingly clear river Twrch runs alongside the entire length of our park (fishing is free to our guests) and is extremely popular with guests of all ages. Also adjacent to the site is the quaint Llanuwchllyn Narrow Gauge Railway Station with its open carriage journeys along the lake. A great way to fully appreciate the stunning scenery the area has to offer.
The whole site has access to the recently completed toilet/shower/laundry block that includes disabled facilities and is made up of two defined areas:-
The first is a ¾ acre Camping & Caravanning Club cert. site with 10 hook-up points. The pitches are level and partly sheltered, 5 of these are hard standing.
For campers wanting even more space and privacy the natural landscape breaks the site into several smaller areas (without hook-up) some adjacent to the river with an unobstructed view of the freshwater river. All pitches are level and most are partially sheltered. There are additional toilet and water point facilities in this area. Fires are permitted subject to conditions in non hookup areas.
Our spacious campsite offers guests several acres to explore, play games or to simply walk the dog (dogs are welcome). Pitches can be chosen on arrival (specific requests are catered for whenever possible).
Being only one mile from Bala lake and 8 miles from the Tryweryn Wild Water Rafting Centre it is a water sports enthusiasts paradise. Yet it is also only 20 miles from the beaches of Fairbourne and Barmouth. There are also many scenic walks and good climbing on nearby mountains including Cader Idris which is less than 15 miles away.
