Adjacent to the old Roman gold mines, in a beautiful setting at the foothills of the Cambrian Mountains, within a 2,500 acre estate owned and managed by the National Trust. The site has a tranquil atmosphere by the River Cothi, set in Red Kite country in an open glade within woodland with delightful wildflowers and abundant wildlife. There is a local pub within walking distance and village shop nearby. Coarse river fishing and horse riding can also be enjoyed close by. Visit the underground gold mine and enjoy one of the guided tours, or follow one of a number of waymarked walks from the site. National Trust properties at Dinefwr and Llanerchaeron are within easy reach. Close to country parks and only 16-miles from the coast, this is an ideal base for a walking or touring holiday. The National Botanical Garden of Wales is just 25 minutes by car.
