Waterfront Country Park is a touring caravan site situated in an attractive setting in five acres of flat, level grassland, close to the beautiful West Stockwith Marina, where the Chesterfield Canal joins the river Trent. It is a haven of peace and tranquility for the more independant visitor. Waterfront Country Park is easily access from the main UK road network and conveniently near to Lincoln, Doncaster, Sheffield and Nottingham. It is situated on the borders of Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire. The location is an ideal base for visiting Sherwood Forest and Robin Hood Country which is a short drive away. Both Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire are famed for their peace and tranquility, but even so there is lots to see and do. Nottingham, Lincoln, Doncaster and Sheffield are all ideal for a day put and all are situated within a one hour drive from the site. Motorway links to the ferry port of Hull with sailings to Rotterdam and Zeebruge are close by. The quiet local roads are ideal for walking and cycling. The Trent Valley Way and Cuckoo Way both start at the Marina. Coarse fishing is available on the Chesterfield Canal all year round with permits sold on site. There are many other local coarse and trout fisheries. Horse riding is available at Grove House Stables in Misterton. At the stables there is also a cafe serving a good hearty breakfast along with curry nights where you can eat as much as you like. West Stockwith Village Hall is situated just a few minutes walk from the site and has has regular film nights. They also run 'Murder Mystery' evenings. If you are staying with us at Waterfront Country Park entrance to these evenings is free of charge.
