A CARAVAN CLUB GOLDEN JUBILEE SITE. It feels positively rural when you reach this verdant, gently sloping, secure site with its mature tree screening and spacious grounds. Good railway connections (35 mins) into Central London's attractions are within walking distance of the site. As an alternative to the busy city centre, nearby Greenwich offers its own blend of fascinating attractions. River cruises operate to the Thames Barrier and between St Paul's, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and Greenwich, Hampton Court & Kew. Open all year, this is a busy site, popular with European visitors during the summer months. However, there are good reasons to visit Abbey Wood throughout the year: the Christmas lights, January sales shopping, London Marathon, Excel Centre and the Chelsea Flower Show.

For those Members who wish to arrive on New Years Day, please note that the Site Office will be closed. You will therefore have to stay on the Late Night Arrivals Area if the site has one. Please contact the Warden on site to discuss pitching instructions for arrivals on this day.

If you arrive after 8pm you will have to stay in the Late Night Arrivals Area overnight. The Late Night Arrivals Area does have electric hook up and toilet facilities. Please note: Wireless internet access is now available on site. Cards may be purchased from the site office.
