South Port, Portpatrick, Stranraer, Dumfries & Galloway

This peaceful one acre holiday lodge and camper site on the beef and sheep farm of South Port O'Spittal enjoys panoramic views over the sea to Ireland and is set within a backdrop of rolling Galloway countryside. The perfect location for a relaxing break.
South Port'O'Spittal Holiday Lodges makes for a perfect, relaxing, location in which to enjoy the beautiful countryside and coastal scenery. We offer two well appointed, modern, holiday lodges. Each lodge has three bedrooms - a twin bunk, a twin bed and a double bed. The bathroom and kitchen are well appointed and equipped.
From the lounge one can access the terrace - complete with table and chairs - and take in the magnificent views across the Irish Sea. (This is a fantastic sight at night, with the lights of the Northern Irish coast twinkling. We even have ocean cruise ships passing by, and they are a sight to behold in the evening, with all of their illumination!). Parking spaces are at hand, and the beach can be reached by a pleasurable stroll across the fields and down the path to the beach. The walk takes around ten minutes.
Coastal footpaths can also be enjoyed with stunning views across the Irish Sea. Dolphins can often be seen inshore and there is a wide variety of birdlife to observe. The fishing is good too, with Pollack, Mackeral and Tope in goodly numbers and there are local skippers operating Charter Hire from Portpatrick and Drummore should you wish to spend a few hours sea angling.
The village of Portpatrick, the jewel in bonnie Galloway's crown, with its array of restaurants, shops, picturesque harbour, putting green and Dunskey Gardens with coffee shop are a mere 2.5 miles away. This is also an ideal location for visiting Belfast - enjoy a day trip to Ireland from the ferry town just 7 miles away. Scotland's most southerly point, the Mull of Galloway with its Lighthouse and award winning Restaurant, Port Logan (home of the BBC's 2000 Acres of Sky television series), and the beautiful Logan Botanical Gardens are all within 15 miles of South Port O'Spittal . We can now offer two static carvans for holiday hire. Please call for latest prices!
