Galabank camping and caravan site is situated in the Royal Burgh of Annan 17 miles north of Carlisle and 18 miles south of Dumfries. It is situated on a pleasant elevated residential area overlooking the river Annan adjacent to Annan Athletic Football Club where people using the site can enjoy the harmony of a quiet drink in the club lounge.

Annan is quite central for accessing other area's such as Newcastle ( 1hours drive) Glasgow (1.1/2 hours drive) Edinburgh (1.3/4 hours drive) & both Carlisle & Dumfries 25 Mins in either direction.

Annan hosts many shops pubs and clubs so entertainment is easy to choose from :- The Factory Shop, Semi Chem, Savers, 3 local bakers, Nicholson's, Frances, & Gregg's and a first class local Butcher, Johnston's. Pubs and clubs include:- The Blue Bell, The Queensberry. Benny's/Auberge, The Shed,The Bruce & Commercial Inn & Annan Anglers Club Annan Bowling Club, Annan Ex-Serviceman's Club Annan Rugby Club & St.Andrew's Masonic Social Club to name but a few. 10 minutes down the A75 Is Gretna Gateway Shopping Outlet which has numerous high quality designer units such as M&S, Petroleum, Ponden Mill, Cadbury shop plus other too numerous to mention. The first Saturday in July hosts the annual Riding of the Marches which starts at 8.00am with the riding of the Burgh Boundaries on horseback, fancy dress Parade at 1.00pm, Entertainment on the sports field in the afternoon and Massed Pipe Bands at 6.00pm ( up to 23 pipe bands march down the high street. LOCATION....Heading north on the M6 take the Annan, Dumfries, Stranraer turn off, 8 miles along that road (A75) take the Annan Turn off and go right into the town to the traffic lights and turn right, follow this road and the site is on the left-hand side before you leave the town. Heading south on the A74(M) take the Eaglesfield turn off and follow that road all the way and it will lead you into Annan, the site is on the right hand side as you come into the town. Heading south on the A75 take the first Annan Junction and head into the town and turn left at the traffic lights, follow the road and the site is on the left hand side as you start to leave the town.

The site is a registered 2 star site with electric hook-ups toilet block with showers and washing machine. With continuous improvement work being done to this site it is hoped to make the site up to a 3 star site in 2006. Site opened from March to October.
