Troytown farm and campsite can be found right on Western edge of St Agnes. With spectacular views out towards the Western Rocks and the Bishop Rock light house beyond. The Campsite runs right down to the foreshore, where you can watch the sun going down behind the huge atlantic horizon. The Campsite is situated in a series of small grass fields immediately above the shoreline. The outlook is to the local harbour, Bishop Rock Lighthouse, the bird-sanctuary island of Annet and the rugged Western Rocks. There is a beach directly in front of part of the site, with easy access and safe swimming. The modern facilities the campsite offers are contained within a traditional style granite building and comprise flush toilets, handbasins (hot and cold), shaver points, hand and hair dryers. In the Ladies there is a baby-changing table adjacent to a private cubicle with a handbasin. The shower room has four separate cubicles. There is a washing up room with three sinks and a laundry room with a sink, coin-operated washing machine, tumble drier and ironing facilities. No extra charges are made for hot water, except for the showers, which have meters (tokens available). There is a vending machine for hot drinks. In the peak times the campsite is the perfect family site, visited by the same people year after year for the sandy beaches, fabulous views, and traffic free holiday. Off peak times the campsite is the most amazing place to get away from it all, just watching the ever changing sea and sky can keep you busy for days on end. Most of the year you are welcome to arrive at short notice, although if you have luggage and equipment to be transported across the island we need to know when you are arriving. Larger parties can be accommodated in a separate field, but need to be booked in advance, we often host school groups and diving clubs etc. During the sumer months it is essential to book. It is possible for us to collect trailers or sometimes even trailer tents and transport them across the island, however there is a charge for this service and an additional charge to our usual per person rates for the use of very large tents. If you have any of these please check dates with the Steamship Company at Penzance before confirming your holiday dates at Troytown. If you have any queries about travel arrangements, please give us a ring. Only a few dogs will be accepted at Troytown at any one time. These are by arrangement, and limited to one dog per group at peak times. Please keep dogs on leads on the site and around the farm and ensure they cause no nuisance by barking or fouling. Troytown has its own, regularly tested, water supply. We sell produce from the farm at Troytown: fresh milk (whole & semi-skimmed) clotted cream, butter, yoghurt, potatoes and other vegetables. We have limited supplies of our own reared beef and pork available from the freezer. In addition we sell most varieties of gas cartridge, paraffin and methylated spirits. Ice packs can be frozen. Camping gaz and calor gas cylinder refills are available. Please note, we only accept tents! Please ensure you check availability in the high season via our website.
