Glengoulandie Country Park is nestled at the foot of Schiehallion, ("the fairy mountain of the Caledonians") in beautiful Highland Perthshire. Our country park has something for everyone: A fabulous herd of red deer, including a white stag Highland cattle & soay sheep Chickens, ducks and peafowl Coffee shop, serving homemade food! A small camping site, popular with hillwalkers, who like the peace and tranquillity! A fishing lochan, stocked with rainbow trout. As well as providing space for 40 privately owned static caravans; our park has room for approx. 20 camping pitches (depending on the sizes of the tents). What better way to spend the night, than to watch the animals roam around as the sun goes down. Our site is real hit with hillwalkers and those who love the outdoors, being at the foot of Schiehallion makes it the ideal stopping spot for those who are planning to climb the mountain. Not only that, there are plenty walks to take in the surrounding hills and surrounding areas. For those of you staying on our camp site, there is no fee for walking around the deer park. Come and go as you please during the day. There is also a small burn running alongside the camping ground as well as a play area, this keeps the kids occupied while you sit back and relax with a nice glass of wine! Facilities : Toilets & showers - (shower tokens - £1.00 for 10mins of hot water) Laundry room - (there is also a communual whirley for drying clothes outside). Dishwashing area Electrical points (hairdryers etc.) Disposable and refillable camping gas (available to buy from coffee shop) PLEASE NOTE : We do not have electrical hook-ups & we do not allow campfires! For those who like to fly-fish, have a go at our small fishing lochan. Stocked with rainbow trout. Permits can be purchased at the coffee shop. Nether Craig Caravan Park is situated in a quiet spacious location surrounded by farmland, near the Angus/Perthshire border in Scotland, in the heart of unspoilt countryside to the north-east of Blairgowrie, between the lowland fruit-growing region of Strathmore and the Angus glens. Well away from major roads and enjoying picturesque views of the hills, it makes an ideal base for touring, hill-walking, bird-watching, fishing, pony-trekking and golf. Whatever your interest, Nether Craig is an ideal base. Touring by car or bicycle could not be easier, with miles of open road. Ruined abbeys, castles, Pictish relics and stately homes provide material for history lovers. A vast range of tourist information is available, with maps to borrow for walking and books to read at reception. Fishermen can choose from loch or river, and the hill walker will always find another hill to climb and view to admire. For bird-watchers, the local area and RSPB reserve offer a variety of species and habitat. Golfers can choose from sporting nine hole courses to championship links. The local trekking and riding centres cater for all levels of experience. Bicycle hire is available. Take a circular woodland walk from the park to the den of the River Isla with river viewpoint, picnic area, pond and tree plantation. Family owned and run, Nether Craig welcomes caravans, motor homes and tents and offers grass or hard standing pitches, hook-ups, a very well appointed toilet block, disabled facilities, laundry, shop and play area. Fresh rolls, milk and newspapers are delivered daily and gas is sold. Caravan storage is available, long or short term. A rally field is available for seasonal use. During the quieter months, rallies could be accomodated on the park offering all the facilities we have for use. Rates : From £13.50-£15.50 per unit per 2 people per night. 5 star STB.
