Waterfoot Caravan Park, Pooley Bridge, Ullswater, Penrith, Cumbria

Set in the grounds of a Georgian mansion overlooking Ullswater, is an ideal location for touring vans, motor homes and static caravan holidays. The Park enjoys a generally quiet, family orientated character even in the busier holiday periods, with a 24 hour video security. Camping not allowed.

The award winning site consistently rated at 5 Stars, by the English Tourism Council, is well laid out with serviced static caravan pitches and an excellent touring area with a mix of hardstanding for ease of siting and lawn areas for awnings or recreation.

The beautiful woodland setting provides shelter and a managed environment for wildlife, which resulted in Waterfoot gaining the David Bellamy, British Holiday and Home Parks Gold Conservation Award every year since 2000.

The Park recently introduced a voluntary fund-raiding scheme for conservation projects in the Ullswater area through the Lake District Tourism and Conservation Partnership.

Our resident managers, qualified as Welcome Hosts (the industry standard for good service), are on site to look after you as our guests and to ensure you enjoy your stay at Waterfoot, a centre for touring the Lake District. Many guests return and recommend the Park to friends and family.

The Reception and Shop situated in the old servants quarters of the Mansion is open daily in the season for newspapers, a small selection of toys and games, milk and basic provisions. We also sell and exchange Calor Gas

In the once grand hall of the Mansion you will find a well-stocked Information Area with details of the many attractions and areas to visit in the Lake District.

The Bar Area allows caravanners a chance to enjoy a night out, without having to drive, with their children using the family room if appropriate. There is a darts area and pool table and a fine view across the lawns down to the lake - why go anywhere else?
