Borrans Farm is a working farm lying in the heart of the countryside on the outskirts of the market town of Kendal. Locally there is horse riding and fishing opportunities, leisure and fitness facilities. This is an ideal base from which to explore the Lakes and the Dales.

Kendal, known as "The Gateway to the Lakes" is just a short drive away and has a good range of shops, both speciality and familar high street names. There is a good range of attractions, pubs, cafes and restaurants in the area.

Attractions nearby include museums, climbing wall, golf courses, and a little further away is Holker Hall, Levens Hall and Sizergh Castle & gardens. Windermere is 20 minutes drive away.
