The campsite is set in beautiful countryside on the edge of the village of Esholt. The village found fame as the original setting of the popular ITV soap 'Emmerdale' and is well worth a walk around, perhaps even having a pint at The Woolpack! There are still many other locations that are recognisable to true fans of the show. The caravan park is located within the grounds of the Esholt Sports Club which features a well stocked bar at very reasonable prices. The club also has a function room available for hire with or without their onsite catering. It's a great family atmosphere and safe for children to explore. Within a 5min walk is St Leonard's Farm Park - the perfect place to go with little ones. Set in an idyllic rural location, this award-winning farm park is ideal for parties and school trips and its inhabitants are an instant attraction to its young visitors. Pigs, ponies, ostriches and rabbits are some of the breeds you'll meet down on the farm. There's a petting enclosure too for little ones to get up close to their new-found furry and feathered friends.

The beautiful Yorkshire Dales are within easy reach as are the towns of Otley Ilkley and Skipton. For larger towns and shopping opportunities Leeds Bradford & Harrogate have all the major retailers. Bradford & Leeds boast many interesting sites including The National Museum Of Film & Photography & The Royal Armouries. A couple of miles away in the famous village of Saltaire is The David Hockney Art Gallery & Mill Shops. The original Harry Ramsden's Fish & Chip Restaurant is only a few minutes away by car. Nearby is a world class golf club, & a golf driving range at the end of Esholt Lane. Also the many sites within the village made famous by Emmerdale. A great outdoors venue for walkers too.
