The Lee Valley Regional Park is the perfect place to visit if you enjoy the outdoors. Whether you want to play a round of golf, fish in plentiful waters or simply take a walk. We are open all year but do close over Christmas and New Year, please call for dates. How to find us : By car: leave the M25 at junction 25, follow signs for City. At the first set of Traffic lights turn left signposted to Freezywater. Continue straight along this road for approximately 6 miles (10 kms). Follow signs for Lee Valley Leisure Complex. After roundabout with flags, turn left at 2nd set of lights onto Complex. The campsite can be found to the rear of the Complex. By train: The nearest rail stations are Ponders End (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm only) and Edmonton Green on the Liverpool Street line. Nearest underground station is Tottenham Hale on the Victoria Line. By bus: London Transport W8 service runs to and from the Complex. W8 Services Edmonton Green station. Not only is this peaceful site within easy reach of central London, it’s the ideal location for enjoying life in the Lee Valley Regional Park too. The West End, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Buckingham Palace and a host of other London attractions are less than 40 minutes away. Just hop on the Victoria Line and you’re there. For a different kind of relaxation you’re no distance at all from Epping Forest, the 1,000-acre River Lee Country Park and historic Waltham Abbey. And an 18-hole golf course and 12-screen UCI cinema are quite literally on your doorstep. Places to visit : Not only does the complex host a 12-screen UCI cinema, restaurants and 18- Hole golf course, Lee Valley Camping and Caravan Park is perfectly located for visiting the sites of London. The Elms is a 50-pitch, very friendly family run camp park situated right on the edge of London and set in the peaceful conservation area of Epping forest. We have pitches for caravans, motor homes and tents. Next door is The Owl public house which serves food and drink and caters for children. Static Caravans : Our Cosalt Torino, six-berth Holiday Homes are both spacious and contemporary in design. The accommodation comprises of lounge/diner with ample seating, television, fully equipped kitchen, full size built-in oven and hobs, refrigerator, microwave.. etc. All our Holiday Homes have a shower room with hand basin, but with the added advantage of a separate WC. Sleeping accommodation comprises of two attractive twin-bedded rooms plus one double bedroom. All have ample wardrobe and storage space. Prices include pillows, duvets, (towels and bed linen not supplied), electricity, gas, garden furniture. These Holiday Homes are extremely comfortable, and are the ideal base for exploring London on a reasonable budget. Hire Tents : Two bedroom tents with kitchen area are available for one week minimum hire. Ready erected, these are very simple, air mattresses in the bedroom, two-burner grill and electric light. Price includes gas, lighting, utensils based on four adults. Two children count as one adult. Bed linen towels not supplied, no reduction for under occupancy. A CARAVAN CLUB GOLDEN JUBILEE SITE. It feels positively rural when you reach this verdant, gently sloping, secure site with its mature tree screening and spacious grounds. Good railway connections (35 mins) into Central London's attractions are within walking distance of the site. As an alternative to the busy city centre, nearby Greenwich offers its own blend of fascinating attractions. River cruises operate to the Thames Barrier and between St Paul's, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and Greenwich, Hampton Court & Kew. Open all year, this is a busy site, popular with European visitors during the summer months. However, there are good reasons to visit Abbey Wood throughout the year: the Christmas lights, January sales shopping, London Marathon, Excel Centre and the Chelsea Flower Show. Important Information For those Members who wish to arrive on New Years Day, please note that the Site Office will be closed. London is the lure here. The number 3 bus takes you directly to Piccadilly and Travelcards can be bought on site. Popular with families from Europe during the summer months, this is a busy, but friendly site on the edge of a pleasant park with many attractions for children. London is a city for all seasons, so you can avoid the queues by avoiding the summer months - half terms are good times for families with children. Events out of season include the Ideal Home Exhibition in March; the Caravan Show (October/November) and the Motor Show in October to name but a few. Don't forget the Christmas lights, a good excuse for festive shopping from mid-November to bargain hunting in early January. There's so much to see and do - from the Changing of the Guard and the Tower of London to Madame Tussauds, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, museums, theatres, shops and art galleries. An ideal holiday centre for those who want to mix the pleasure of the countryside with the excitement of visiting central London. This campsite is just as short drive from the walking and picnicking areas of Epping Forest and the outstanding countryside of the River Lee country Park and Gunpowder Park. A regular bus service takes you to Walthamstow Central Underground Station from which a frequent service takes you right into the centre of London. Travelcards are available so shopping and sightseeing couldn’t be easier. The site has excellent facilities with an on-site ship and children’s play area. Pets are permitted provided they are kept under control and not left unattended. Enjoy the best of both worlds; seeing some of Britain’s rarest wildlife coupled with the convenience of reaching central London’s attractions.
