Grantown-on-Spey Caravan Park is a family run site, set in an area of outstanding beauty with picturesque views of the Cromdale Hills and the Cairngorm Mountains. On site you will find both grass and hard standing pitches with some fully serviced pitches available. Our new modern amenity block includes a toddler room and disabled facilities along with laundry, wash-ups and vegetable preparation area's and is always kept immaculate. For the children there is a play area, playing field for ball games and a games room with table tennis and pool table. You will find an abundance of wildlife on site, as well as Red squirrels and Deer very often seen up in the woods behind the site. A gently sloping site, sheltered on one side by a belt of trees and facing a glorious view over the Nairn Valley, and approximately a mile from the famous Culloden battlefield where Bonnie Prince Charlie was defeated and Scottish history was rewritten. A good place for those who like to be solitary: you can look out over clean washed sands to Dunnet Head, the northernmost point of the mainland of Britain. Climb Dunnet Head for magnificent views over the Pentland Firth to Orkney and a great part of the north coast to Ben Loyal and Ben Hope. Take a day trip over to Orkney from John o'Groats or Scrabster, and island-hop the string of islands by boat and coach. If you're a keen birdwatcher, you can take a ferry trip round the Stacks of Duncansby to see an amazing range of seabird life. You'll spend a day or two acclimatising to all this natural beauty before you even want to explore. When you do, you could try a visit to Ben Nevis. You can take a cable car to the upper terminal (2,300ft) of the Aonach Mor Mountain, for fabulous views of the whole mountain range, the Great Glen and the islands of Skye and Rhum, and take a guided mountain walk if you wish. On another day, visit Glencoe - you'll find it eery and exciting and everyone should know the story behind the famous Massacre, still legendary after three centuries.
