Beaconsfield is situated on the Shropshire Way, which leads through our park into the surrounding countryside. The walk will lead you to the neighbouring villages, where you may call in to the local public house for some refreshment. Depending on your route, you can see the beautiful surrounding Haughmond Hill or Grinshill, especially ideal for dog owners, where you are permitted to let you dog off the lead. We have a tourist information office on site with all the relevant Ordnance Survey maps and leaflets on named local walks.
There are many great walks in the local area, including Hawkstone Park and Follies, which offers exceptional views and interesting scenery. The grounds of Hawkstone Park are where the original The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis were filmed.
Harlescott Park & Ride facility is located one and a half miles down the main road. For just £1 return, you can have a hassle free day of shopping and sightseeing around Shrewsbury, without having to negotiate the one-way systems! The Park & Ride facility also offers a unique hop and shop option, which enables you to get on and off the bus as often as you wish around town.
