Solent is part of an area, which is dominated by two great Cities, Winchester, a Saxon and Norman Capital of England for centuries and Southampton, once a Norman seaport now major port for cruise liners and important maritime centre. Trout streams and rivers flow down to inlets on the Solent while the wooded glades and heaths of the New Forest, (in fact the oldest of England's great forests) are home to deer and the famous New Forest ponies. Warsash, just a short distance away, is a yachting centre where low tide reveals shipwrecks, canon and musket balls. This whole area is steeped in British maritime history. Portsmouth's great dockyard is home of the Royal Navy and a treasure house of Britain's maritime history. From here great fleets set sail to make Britain one of the most powerful seafaring nations in the World. The Royal Navy is smaller now but numerous museums, including three of Britains greatest warships, help to maintain the maritime atmosphere and traditions of the past. These are just some of the attractions that await you on this Hampshire coast. Solent Breezes is situated on the edge of the Solent at the end of a country lane. It has breaktaking views across the water to the Isle of Wight and is perfect for a relaxing family holiday. With our own slipway it is ideal for sailing and you can even moor your own boat here. Alternatively why not take a dip in our heated outdoor pool with a children's paddling pool area too or just laze around on the poolside patio and soak up the atmosphere. You can also enjoy a drink in our lounge bar or on the sun terrace where you can watch some of the World's most famous shipping and ocean liners pass by. There is a variety of entertainment to suit most tastes. 'Loopy', our children's character rabbit, will be there to keep children young and old amused with fun and games. We have a small amusement area and also a pool room area and a convenience shop with a food bar which offers a takeaway or sit down service, enjoy one of the many meals available.
