Mill Park is a sheltered touring caravan and camping site set in an attractive wooded valley on the North Devon Coast. It has a shop, a takeaway, games room, laundry, and has many other useful facilities such as gas-changing and ice pack freezing. There is also an on-site pub and Take Away. New for 2010 "Be the first to try" - The wooden Cocoon is especially designed to be used like a tent but with the advantage of already being set upon site for your arrival.Bring all the normal camping gear but do not worry about packing the tent. Each Cocoon has plenty of headroom with a floor area approximately 9 square meters ample space for up to 2 adults & 2 children. The Cocoon accommodates the variable British weather keeping you warm and dry with the advantage of good ventilation for those summer days. The large rear window allowing you to enjoy the scenery. Mill Park Camp and Caravan site Cocoon offers a convenient a alternative to the tent but retain all the ambiance of the camping holiday, set in a secluded area by the lake. It is surrounded by attractive woodland and is an ideal family site. Being just a short walk to quiet beaches, both sand and pebble. Equally near at hand is the unspoilt and breathtaking beauty of Exmoor. The nearest village, Berrynarbor is just a five minute walk from the site. This village dates back from the sixteenth century and earlier. There is a quaint old country pub, village stores and post office. Buses also pass past the site regularly. We cater for families and couples, and our aim is to create a friendly relaxed atmosphere. North Devon has a charm all of its own, with miles of golden sandy beaches and picturesque market towns and fishing villages. Welcome to the Old Rectory Caravan & Camping Park. Nestled in a quiet, idyllic setting on the border of Devon and Cornwall in the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Old Rectory is near the market town of Tavistock, the Edwardian farm and mining heritage centre at Morwellham Quay, and close to the Dartmoor National Park. The site consists of eleven tree-lined touring bays, eight of which have electric hook up facility. We have four new timber camping pods, these have internal electric lights and a small oil filled heater. There is room for approximately twenty tents in the camping area, and we also have our 3 acre field which is available for rallies and events. This tranquil setting is appreciated by all, and is just a stone's throw away from sites of significant historical interest and beauty. Locally there are plenty of outdoor and indoor activities, and many of Devon and Cornwall's major attractions are within easy reach. For quiet family camping and caravanning holidays, and for those seeking peaceful countryside breaks, the Old Rectory is a wonderful and relaxing location to spend your time. Situated right on the main A390, the Old Rectory enables you to take many different routes for your day out. There are two lovely pubs nearby and some beautiful walks. The shower block is close by with free showers and hot water. There are also laundry facilities (chargeable) and a washing up area. Chemical disposal point, free use of freezer for ice blocks. We also hold a small stock of camping gas canisters, spare tent pegs etc. A welcome pack consisting of bacon, eggs, milk, butter, a loaf of bread and a local newspaper can be pre-booked for you convenience. This rural part of the countryside has an abundance of wildlife, with plenty of rabbits to see, possibly badgers and foxes, and if you are really lucky maybe some deer. We have our own animals, with miniature Shetland ponies, free range chickens, and traditional rare breed pigs, enabling us to sell you, are own sausages, bacon, and eggs. Rates: From £12 per night. On behalf of everyone at the Fox and Hounds Hotel, we would like to extend a warm welcome to you. We are a friendly, family run Hotel on the edge of Dartmoor in Devon, UK - under the same family management for more than 35 years. We are open all day every day of the year. The Fox and Hounds Hotel is situated within Dartmoor National Park and is a very popular destination for walkers and day-trippers to the moor. The moor is accesed directly via a trackway behind the Hotel. In addition to our Hotel accomodation we also have modern camping and caravanning facilities (offering wheel chair access), also our Camping Barn offering YHA hostel accommodation. A peaceful and tranquil site with direct access to the moor. The large camping area is located behind the hotel. Touring is accomodated with electric and service hook-up points. A shower block is available offering toilets and showers. The campsite is children friendly, with a children's play area adjacent to the camping site. The campsite has Elsan Disposable Points, Hard Standings (5), Water Points (5) and Electrical Hook Up Points (over 25). Situated on the edge of the village of Georgeham in North Devon, only a stones throw from some of the UK's best surfing beaches namely Woolacombe Putsborough Croyde & Saunton Sands our camp site at Incledon Farm is the perfect base from which to explore the spectacular North Devon coastline. Our camp site at Incledon Farm is aimed squarely at families & couples. Two beautiful camping areas to choose from:- The Platt & The Meadow Both of these camping fields have fantastic rural views, and offer the peace and tranquillity of the countryside. For those who enjoy a bit more action, often there is an impromptu game of rounders, football, volleyball in the centre of the larger field, of course everyone is welcome to join in or even start the game We do not profess to be a state of the art modern campsite, we are a family business who are still heavily involved in farming our land, and have enjoyed welcoming campers to our farm for over 40 years. New for 2009 we have a number of level pitches; others are gently sloping as we are in the rolling hills of Devon. We have a number of pitches with electric hook-up (pre-booking essential) all pitches have fantastic rural views. Sadly we did not win loo of the year, perhaps that’s because we did not enter. However, we do have clean functional toilets and free showers, and a washing up area. We do ask you to respect the fact that we are a working farm, and look to you to ensure your children’s safety by keeping them out of the barns, and off the machinery, unless accompanied by one of us. Dog’s are welcome, however, due to the amount of livestock and children around the farm we insist on dog's being kept under control and on a lead at all times , and of course we expect you to be responsible and pick up anything your pet leaves behind. We ask you to keep noise to a minimum at all times but no noise after midnight Specialist foods delivered to the campsite: Droppa & Droppa Specialist Foods, a local manufacturer of gluten, wheat and dairy free foods can deliver a box of freshly baked goods direct to the campsite. To save you having to bring lots of fresh food with you, why not have them send you a chilled box filled with fresh bread, pasties, pies, cakes, scones, muffins...whatever you fancy. You needn't worry anymore about whether or not you'll be able to find freshly baked goods when you arrive; or indeed how far you'll have to travel once you get here in order to source fresh food. What's more, the food is packaged in an insulated foam box with large freezer gel packs (which can be re-frozen at the campsite), so you can enjoy your food throughout your stay. If peace and tranquillity is what you are looking for then that is exactly what Karrageen offers. We do not have a club or bar or children’s playground but we do offer a well stocked shop with freshly cooked baguettes and croissants daily, a delicious hot, takeaway menu and plenty of space for children to play happily and safely. We have facilities for touring caravans, motor caravans, and tents of all shapes and sizes. We take booking for these pitches and recommend that you book ahead especially in the school holidays as we are not a large park and are usually full during these periods. Karrageen is family run by Nikki, Natalie, Ryan, Lauren and myself. We do our utmost to ensure that your stay with us is an enjoyable experience which many of our guests like to repeat every year. We offer a total of 70 pitches, including 20 designated for touring caravans, on 2 adjacent fields. In August we offer a number of camping pitches on our Top Field which, whilst further away from the facilities, offers unrivalled views out to sea. The main 5 acre field has been thoughtfully terraced and tree lined to provide level pitches offering extra privacy. Hook ups are available on many of the terraces and water points are never far away. Most pitches have wonderful views, either across the valley or out to sea – many with both. There are 2 large open areas, kept free of camping for children to play safely. The smaller adjoining caravan field is gently sloping and has 5 pitches for touring caravans all with hook ups and water points and our small fleet of luxury 2 bedroom static caravans to hire. All new guests are shown to a pitch and given a brief introduction to our area. Please remember that specific pitches can be reserved for any future visit. The toilet block is situated in the caravan field and consists of : Mens: 4 showers, 6 wash basins, 2 shaver points and 1 hairdryer. Ladies : 4 showers, 6 wash basins, 2 strip wash cubicles and 2 hairdryers. A disabled/family shower room. The utility room provides 2 sinks for dish washing and two chest freezers (free of charge) for ice packs, also a separate laundry room with 2 sinks, 3 washing machines and a tumble dryer. There is a new extension which provides a separate laundry room with 2 sinks, 3 washing machines and a tumble dryer. There is also a pay-phone booth and a disabled / family shower room. At reception, we have a well stocked, licensed shop selling milk and a full range of dairy produce, bacon, frozen meats and burgers, a large range of grocery provisions, a good selection of chilled lagers, beers, ciders and wine, fresh bread and some basic camping equipment including Calor gas and camping Gaz.
