Reception The reception building faces you as you enter the site. The building has been specially designed and constructed in a mock log cabin style to complete the adjacent woodland. If you have any queries or need any assistance during your stay this is the place where our friendly staff will only be happy to help you. Bar The bar is located at the first floor level in the reception building. This pine clad area contains a fully functional bar / refreshment area where you can relax during your stay. Toilet Facilities The toilet block is located within the caravan area and has been specially designed and built to the highest standard. There are separate male, female and disabled toilet / shower facilities. The finish is to a very high standard ensuring that your comfort is maintained though out your visit. Woodland The site is set within set within 26 acres of historic woodland enabling you to enjoy many a woodland walk following many woodland trails. The woodland contains various species of wildlife which habitate the woodland. The boundaries are clearly defined and fenced making it safe for children and pets to explore without wandering off the site. Fishing Pond Enjoy your stay by relaxing by the large pond which is securely fenced to avoid children playing near it. The pond contains carp fish and is frequently visited by many species of wildlife including: kingfishers, dragonflies, ducks etc. Children's Play Area The outside children's play area is set central within the park area enabling you to keep an eye on your children whilst you are within your caravan. The play area can fully occupy your children and contains slides, swings, walkways, poles, wendy house etc. There are also benches and chairs for you to relax whilst your children enjoy themselves. Pingu the speaking penguin is also on hand to thank you for feeding him your litter. Gymnasium A gymnasium is located within the caravan park area allowing you to work off those extra calories put on whilst wining and dining during your stay. The gymnasium has many items of equipment to tone every part of your body. Children's Games Room Should the weather not be blazing sunshine during your stay then above the toilet block is an indoor games room designed to occupy your children. The room contains a pool table, games machines, seating areas etc. Laundry Room The laundry room will enable you to clean your clothes and iron them during your stay. Jacuzzi Relax in our luxury private Jacuzzi. The Jacuzzi is set inside its own room and can accommodate several people. There are several settings available to get the bubbles just right. Fort Adventure and Trail Blaze Keep the younger visitors of the Golden Valley Caravan & Camping Park busy with the exciting fort adventure and trail blaze. Cafe When you are peckish and wanting a sit down after a refreshing morning exploring the historic woodland, why not visit our cafe which has many tables inside to sit down and enjoy a drink / lunch. The cafe has a fully working kitchen and overlooks the pond area and woodland. Caravan and Tent Areas The caravan area has been constructed with electricity hook up points, water supply and mains drainage. There are 24 caravan pitches on stone surfacing vehicle roadways. The caravan area is surrounding by historic woodland and each caravan pitch is adequately spaced away from the next pitch for better privacy. Wildlife Pond When you enter the caravan park the wildlife pond can be seen to the right. Relaxing scenery with plenty of local walks & areas of interest. Families, Outdoor Enthusiasts & Youth organisations are all welcome! Fieldhead campsite is situated in Edale, a picturesque village at the start of the Pennine way. The village has two public houses, two cafes and a post office / general store all within 400mtrs of the site. The Campsite is owned by the Peak District National Park and is situated at their local vistor centre-ranger post. The Site is approx 400mts from Edale railway station, main carpark and coach park. The Campsite has a separate family field and a small riverside field which is dedicated to back packers only. There are trained staff and rangers on hand at the Peak District information centre to give first hand local knowledge to enable people of all ages and abilities to enjoy this part of the peak district. The campsite has a separate car park next to the camping fields (no vehicle access), with easy footpaths leading to camping fields ensuring a quiete, PEACEFUL STAY. The site is well used and liked by youth organisations such as the duke of edinburgh, scouts guides and cadet ships. It's 6 small fields surrounding the vistor centre makes it ideal for youth groups to be supervised by teachers, at the same time enabling the students to be self-sufficient and independant. Being at the foot of Kinder scout the campsite is well used by hikers and mountain bikers. The site is also a short drive from well known climbing areas such as Stanage and Burbage and so is an ideal location for climbers. Rates : From £3.00 per person - £4.50 per person.

Unspoilt farm site with basic facilities in a quiet location with fantastic views. For a real flavour of the Peak District, this site would be hard to beat. Rowter Farm overlooks Mam Tor, near Winnats Pass and very close to the famous caverns at Castleton including the Blue John. This site makes a marvellous base for keen walkers and mountain bikers and is within easy reach of many of the Peak District's best attractions for those who prefer touring. The famous village of Castleton is 1 mile away with its many pubs and shops. Peveril Castle is one of our neighbours! Facilities : Fairly basic but with toilets, hot and cold wash basins and showers. From Castleton continue through village towards Mam Tor, take sharp left turn at sign posts for Speedwell Cavern/Winnats pass, at the top of steep hill continue on to main road keeping left for 150 yds then turn left into drive through gate with sign post on. From Stockport follow A6 towards Buxton, after leaving dual carriage way take exit for Castleton light traffic only, follow A625 towards Blue John Cavern round right hand bend continue round next bend then turn left into drive through gate with camping sign on. From Buxton Follow A6 through Dove Holes down to round about turn right follow signs for Castleton light traffic only. At Sparrowpit turn left on the corner at the Wanted In pub onto B6061 Road. Continue for 1.5 miles then turn right into drive through gate with camping sign on. From Chesterfield Follow A623 towards Sparrowpit, at Sparrowpit take right turn on corner at the Wanted In pub onto B6061 road signposted Castleton light traffic only, continue 1.5 miles towards Castleton then turn right into drive through gate with camping sign on. This site is equipped as a luxury facility Site for all seasons and all interests, situated in a bowl with panoramic views at the heart of the Peak National Park. All pitches are all-weather. This is a marvellous base for all kinds of outdoor activities, including walking, hill and rock climbing, potholing, biking and riding. It would be hard to imagine anywhere with such an array of natural and historical features both above and below ground. The village of Castleton, dominated by the ruins of William the Conqueror's Peveril Castle from which it gets its name, is only half a mile away. All year round there are shops and pubs to delight the visitor, and at Christmas time the streets are awash with lights and the shops stay open late. Important Information For those Members who wish to arrive on New Years Day, please note that the Site Office will be closed. You will therefore have to stay on the Late Night Arrivals Area if the site has one. Please contact the Warden on site to discuss pitching instructions for arrivals on this day. The Park provides an ideal centre for touring the National Park. It lies in a secluded dip in the hills prolifically planted with trees and shrubs to provide a sheltered park for tents, touring caravans and motor vans. The whole site is meticulously maintained to a very high standard from the spotless ablution blocks to the neatly trimmed grass. The site shop stocks a complete range of goods including groceries, books and magazines, toys, souvenirs and fresh local dairy produce. A selection of caravan accessories are available and there are exchange facilities for both Calor and Camping Gas. Dogs on leads are very welcome but are excluded from the shop and toilet blocks. The two excellent ablution blocks provide hot showers at no extra cost, deep sinks for clothes washing and outside sinks for pots. In addition there is a coin operated laundry, drying and ironing facilities adjoining a small playroom with amusement machines. Two large play areas are provided with swings, climbing frame and large sandpit. Seats are placed around the site for use whilst keeping an eye on the children or simply watching the world go by. Carriages restaurant and the Newhaven Garage are adjacent to the site. The Newhaven hotel is currently being renovated. The site is situated halfway between Buxton and Ashbourne at the junction of the A515 and A5012 opposite the Newhaven Hotel and Newhaven Garage. Occupying 20 idyllic acres on the edge of the Peak District, Beechwood Park is a fantastic place to enjoy a weekend break or an extended holiday. With full on-site facilities and centrally located between Nottingham and Derby, you'll be able to relax and enjoy your stay with us. All Caravan pitches at Beechwood Park are level and supplied with an electric hook-up. There is an on-site Shop/Reception, Elsan disposable point, fresh Water points and a Pot washing/Launderette room. Being largely built on a sand and gravel plateau, elevated over the surrounding countryside, Beechwood Park enjoys lush firm ground that is fast draining. With a fantastic mixed Coarse Fishery, Beechwood Park is fast becoming the number 1 choice location for Anglers. Beechwood Park has three lakes, Swan, Warren and Oak with a total of 68 pegs. A fourth lake with a further 14 pegs is under construction. Two of the lakes are primarily stocked with Carp, whilst Warren Lake (24 pegs) offers mixed coarse fishing with Carp to 15lbs, Tench to 5lbs, Chub to 4lbs and also Roach, Rudd, Bream and Perch. All the pegs are purpose built and easily accessible for Young, Disabled or Aged Anglers. We have a Family-Fun Go-Kart track catering for youngsters aged 8-14 years,plus friends, parents and relatives of those youngsters. Voted the best regional racecourse in Britain for nine out of ten years, this is a popular site with all members: families for its proximity to Alton Towers, dog owners because of the 60 acres of exercise space off lead, golfers for the adjacent course, and of course horse racing enthusiasts who enjoy free entrance on all race days. Residents also benefit from access to the bar, betting area, picnic and play area. Uttoxeter itself is a pleasant East Staffordshire market town dwarfed by some impressive scenery in the Weaver Hills around it; there is a street market on Wednesday and Saturday. NT Sudbury Hall is worth a visit. Important Information There are no hardstandings on this site.
