The Park provides an ideal centre for touring the National Park. It lies in a secluded dip in the hills prolifically planted with trees and shrubs to provide a sheltered park for tents, touring caravans and motor vans. The whole site is meticulously maintained to a very high standard from the spotless ablution blocks to the neatly trimmed grass. The site shop stocks a complete range of goods including groceries, books and magazines, toys, souvenirs and fresh local dairy produce. A selection of caravan accessories are available and there are exchange facilities for both Calor and Camping Gas. Dogs on leads are very welcome but are excluded from the shop and toilet blocks. The two excellent ablution blocks provide hot showers at no extra cost, deep sinks for clothes washing and outside sinks for pots. In addition there is a coin operated laundry, drying and ironing facilities adjoining a small playroom with amusement machines. Two large play areas are provided with swings, climbing frame and large sandpit. Seats are placed around the site for use whilst keeping an eye on the children or simply watching the world go by. Carriages restaurant and the Newhaven Garage are adjacent to the site. The Newhaven hotel is currently being renovated. The site is situated halfway between Buxton and Ashbourne at the junction of the A515 and A5012 opposite the Newhaven Hotel and Newhaven Garage. The site is in a pine plantation, on rising ground, beautifully landscaped with pitches in open clearings separated by trees, making each group of caravans very private and quiet. The adjacent Carsington Reservoir, about 15 minutes walk from the site, is a major tourist attraction providing a variety of leisure facilities including fishing, sailing, windsurfing and childrens playground. The site is a convenient base for walkers wishing to explore the beautiful scenery of Dovedale and the surrounding countryside. The local villages, all with excellent public houses, are within walking distances of two to three miles. As you travel around, look out for examples of Derbyshire's home-grown art, well-dressing which happens in many villages from May to September. Voted the best regional racecourse in Britain for nine out of ten years, this is a popular site with all members: families for its proximity to Alton Towers, dog owners because of the 60 acres of exercise space off lead, golfers for the adjacent course, and of course horse racing enthusiasts who enjoy free entrance on all race days. Residents also benefit from access to the bar, betting area, picnic and play area. Uttoxeter itself is a pleasant East Staffordshire market town dwarfed by some impressive scenery in the Weaver Hills around it; there is a street market on Wednesday and Saturday. NT Sudbury Hall is worth a visit. Important Information There are no hardstandings on this site. Pindale Farm Outdoor Centre is the the ideal base for all outdoor Activities in the Peak District. Some outdoor pursuits equipment are available for hire - please enquire when booking. Expert advice can be given on local attractions, weather conditions etc. Local instruction is available if required. We have: A climbing wall and bolt routes, up two sides of the chimney and traversing around the end of the Engine House - using 130ft rope. The abseil platform, for instruction in controlled conditions before venturing on to the hills. The field gun. Yes, you have seen the soldiers in the Royal Tourament taking a gun over the obstacle course. Come to Pindale and try it! The gun isn't a real one, but a 5ft high and 8ft long wooden replica. We can also do your shopping - prices on application. A maximum of 60 people can be accommodated inside, plus 64 camping. Please note: We operate a pay and display system for the camp site. Pay at Farm House, collect your tag and code number for toilet door locks. Pitch your tent. Display the tag, no tag then pay again! Basic Site Rules : No fires or ball games in the camp field. No anti social behaviour. Noise to be kept to a minimum especially after 10.00pm. Do not climb or remove stone from the dry stonewalls. Barbeques must not damage the grass. Fieldhead campsite is situated in Edale, a picturesque village at the start of the Pennine way. The village has two public houses, two cafes and a post office / general store all within 400mtrs of the site. The Campsite is owned by the Peak District National Park and is situated at their local vistor centre-ranger post. The Site is approx 400mts from Edale railway station, main carpark and coach park. The Campsite has a separate family field and a small riverside field which is dedicated to back packers only. There are trained staff and rangers on hand at the Peak District information centre to give first hand local knowledge to enable people of all ages and abilities to enjoy this part of the peak district. The campsite has a separate car park next to the camping fields (no vehicle access), with easy footpaths leading to camping fields ensuring a quiete, PEACEFUL STAY. The site is well used and liked by youth organisations such as the duke of edinburgh, scouts guides and cadet ships. It's 6 small fields surrounding the vistor centre makes it ideal for youth groups to be supervised by teachers, at the same time enabling the students to be self-sufficient and independant. Being at the foot of Kinder scout the campsite is well used by hikers and mountain bikers. The site is also a short drive from well known climbing areas such as Stanage and Burbage and so is an ideal location for climbers. Rates : From £3.00 per person - £4.50 per person.

Just off the M1, the site is very attractively laid out in a lovely 280 acre country park, where squirrels and rabbits roam freely and colourful azaleas and rhododendrons abound in season. There are many walks to choose from including one around the lake and past the children's play area. The Castle has an Edwardian tea parlour. The site is within 5 miles of Derby, which is the home of Rolls Royce and Royal Crown Derby fine china, the Eagle Centre shopping mall and large indoor market. Park & Ride facilities nearby the site. Important Information The park gates are locked at 7.00pm. If you arrive between 7.00pm & 8.00 pm, you will need to walk to the site office & ring the bell to gain access. No arrivals after 8.00pm. Lickpenny Caravan Park is a new park, located in the heart of the Derbyshire dales and stands within 16 acres of a truly picturesque setting. This tranquil retreat is set above the village of Tansley and near to the towns of Matlock and Bakewell. Lickpenny are members of the BHHPA, have been awarded a 4 star rating with "Visit Britain". Have been awarded the Silver award for the David Bellamy conservation, and also hold a 4 star rating with 82% with the AA. This site is equipped as a luxury facility Site for all seasons and all interests, situated in a bowl with panoramic views at the heart of the Peak National Park. All pitches are all-weather. This is a marvellous base for all kinds of outdoor activities, including walking, hill and rock climbing, potholing, biking and riding. It would be hard to imagine anywhere with such an array of natural and historical features both above and below ground. The village of Castleton, dominated by the ruins of William the Conqueror's Peveril Castle from which it gets its name, is only half a mile away. All year round there are shops and pubs to delight the visitor, and at Christmas time the streets are awash with lights and the shops stay open late.
