The Atlas Heritage 4/5 berth caravan measures 28 x 12 feet and has two access doors. It is situated on a landscaped site within easy reach of the family farm; with good access from the quiet country lane and car parking space is provided. The caravan has its own grounds and garden area which includes seating and picnic areas .You over-look open fields where you can watch the sheep and cows grazing, birds singing or simply relax by taking in the spectacular views and fresh air. Park Foot is a family run park situated beside Lake Ullswater and approximately one mile from Pooley Bridge. Set in magnificent scenery, our site accommodates touring caravans, tents and dormobiles. (Electric hook-up on request). A Holiday at Park Foot combines an idyllic setting with so much to see and do. Enjoy an action packed holiday or do nothing at all, the choice is yours. Take a swim in the lake or launch your boat from the private beach by the Lakeside, walk on the fells, fish on the Lake, or go Pony Trekking, or mountain bike riding - the possibilities are endless. Electric Hook up pitches are available on grass or hard standing to accommodate touring caravans, tents and dormobiles. Car Parking is next to your pitch. There are also drinking water taps placed conveniently around the site. We have three fields for camping within the main park area. One of the fields is situated below the shop and contains the electric hook ups, another is situated below the club and accommodates tents and dormobiles. Gentle and peaceful, this thoughtfully laid out site is divided into separate pitching areas which are punctuated by shrubs and grass. This is an ideal base from which to explore North Lancashire and the Southern Lake District. Brockhole, the National Park Visitor Centre is a good place to start your exploration, for it has together under one roof an enormous collection of information, books and audio/visual material about the Lakes. You'll find the literary associations are everywhere, from Wordsworth at Dove Cottage, Grasmere to Beatrix Potter at Sawrey and the Potter Gallery in the Main Street at Hawkshead. There are water-based sports at Windermere (water ski-ing and scuba diving) and at Coniston (sailing, canoeing and windsurfing) and walking wherever you look. Flusco Wood is a holiday park set in mixed woodland with outstanding views of both the Lake District fells and the Pennine Hills. Flusco Wood an area which has been designed specifically for touring caravans. The quiet rural surroundings result in an abundance of wildlife. This combined with woodland walks, has resulted in the David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation. We have generous serviced touring caravan pitches laid to grass and set in woodland clearings. A serviced pitch has a 16amp electrical socket and its own main water tap and gully for grey waste all included in the price. Flusco Wood provides a centrally heated amenity building which has spacious showers, washrooms and hand basins - all with free hot water. There are also free hand dryers and shaving sockets and hairdryers operated with a coin. There is an en-suite family shower room with WC and wash basin which is also suitable for disabled people. The laundrette includes washing facilities, dryer and ironing facilities (all coin operated). We also have a drying room for those with wet boots and coats, a boot wash facility and a dishwashing area. The reception cabin and shop is open daily and is run by John Hunt, the park manager who lives on site. The shop is well stocked with a variety of food and provisions and a range of caravanning accessories. The reception area offers a wide range of helpful tourist information, all that you need for an enjoyable holiday. A public payphone is available at the amenity building. There is a children's play area and safe walks around the park and the area is continually being landscaped and updated for the enjoyment of its guests. There is also a replanting programme in place which means trees and plants have been introduced to encourage the wildlife. Flusco Wood is located in a prime position to explore Cumbria and the Lake District with an elevation to make the most of the stunning Lakeland fells on one side and the Pennines on the other.
