Conwy Butterfly Jungle at Bodlondeb Park. See some of the world’s most beautiful tropical butterflies flying free in 2,000 sq ft of jungle environment, together with tropical birds and exotic plants.
Rhyl Seaquarium contains sharks, eels, killer rays and poisonous scorpion fish.
The Welsh Mountain Zoo at Colwyn Bay. See rare British wildlife and exotic animals at this Conservation Centre for threatened species.
Ffestiniog Railway. Take a 13-mile ride on a railway steeped in history. For 140 years steam-hauled trains have run beside the harbour at Porthmadog up into the mountains to Blaenau Ffestiniog – passing farmland and forest, mountains and moors, lakes and waterfalls on their way through Snowdonia.
Swallow Falls near Betws-y-Coed is a popular picnic spot.
Imposing Caernarfon and Conwy castles.
Ruthin Gaol. A prison from 1654 to 1916, you can see how prisoners lived their daily lives and how the prison worked.
Bodnant Garden. World famous garden noted for its botanical collections.
Great Orme’s Head at Llandudno can be reached by cable car or by tramway and gives great views along the coast, across to Anglesey and to the mountains of Snowdonia.
Llechwedd Slate Caverns. Ride Britain’s steepest railway into the Deep Mine. On the surface visit the Victorian village where the pub and shops use Victorian coins.
Dublin is just 99 minutes from Holyhead, so enjoy a great day out in the friendly and vibrant Irish capital.

Directions / Location : To find us take the A487 through Aberystwyth and turn left onto the B4353 at Rhyd-y-pennau. The Park is on your left as you approach Borth. From the north turn right onto the B4353 and follow the road through Borth. Just after the road turns left, the Park entrance is on your right.
