Many local pubs feature live, traditional music in the evenings. A full range of outdoor pursuits is available to suit all levels of energy and experience - from a gentle stroll along unspoilt, sandy beaches or a quiet day's fishing, to a challenging 18 holes of golf or an invigorating climb in the Twelve Bens. Artists will find endless material in the elusive, ever-changing light of the Connemara landscape and for those interested in archaeology there are guided tours to Neolithic sites in the area.
