Lamb Cottage Caravan Park is set in the heart of the Cheshire countryside and due to our child-free environment, offers a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of family parks. It is a level, sunny site surrounded by farmland and sheltered by mature trees making it an ideal place for a relaxing break. The park is meticulously maintained and managed by ourselves Mike and Lynn with the help of mum and dad, Jean and Max. Since we aquired the park in early 2002, we have embarked on a scheme of major refurbishment, redesign and sympathetic landscaping and consequently we are very proud to have recently received the coveted "David Bellamy Conservation Gold Award" in recognition of our achievements. We are particularly delighted that Professor Bellamy's decision to make this award was based partly on the opinions of our guests, It was their comments which help to convince him that Lamb Cottage was deserving of this honour. We have also been awarded a 5 star grading by the English Tourism Council and 4 Pennants by the AA. We are "Alan Rogers Inspected and Selected" and are members if the BH&HPA and the "Tranquil Touring Parks" group. Set in approx. 4 acres our touring park has 45 pitches with 15 allocated on a seasonal basis. Of the remaining 30 there are 24 large, all-weather, multi-serviced pitches with 16 amp electric hook-up, water and waste water drain on pitch. These pitches have ample hard standing for caravan, awning and car with a lawned seating area to each pitch. There are a further 4 motorhome pitches on single hard standing with electric hook-up. We have a few all grass pitches for use during the summer months and busy times only. We are very proud of our five star, luxury facilities : The ultra -modern, centrally heated amenity building incorporates luxury "en-suite" style shower rooms (with shower, toilet and washbasin in each) and additional separate loo's & handbasins all fitted to an exceptionally high standard to suit the most discerning guests and is inclusive of ; Free hot water and showers. Free hairdryers and shaver points. Full disabled suite. Fully fitted laundry. Dishwashing and veg. prep area (under cover). Other facilities include: Electric hook-ups. There are many places of interest to visit including the many National Trust houses and gardens that abound in Cheshire ( Cheshire is known as "The Garden County" ! ). The historic and beautiful city of Chester with it's unique old shopping rows and black and white buildings is only twenty minutes away by car. Here you can stroll along the old city walls, visit the Cathedral and Museums or take a boat trip along the lovely River Dee. If you fancy a"day at the races" there are regular meetings throughout the summer. If you prefer to explore the countryside, there are lots of footpaths within the vicinity of the park, passing through woodland and around the many Cheshire meres. Delamere Forest is only 4 miles away with excellent walking and cycling. There are castles at Peckforton and Beeston (also known for it's weekly livestock market and horse sales) with the Candle factory and Ice cream factory close by.
