The area also has the Centre for Alternative Techonology in it at Machynlleth and Rock Mill is at Llandysul and this is the last of the working waterwheel-powered Welsh woollen mills.

Buzzards nest in the woods next to the park, peregrine falcons hunt from the high cliffs, badgers roam the woods and otters fish the rivers. The Woodlands is a well established, family run caravan park set amidst some of the most beautiful scenery Mid Wales has to offer. It is situated in Devils Bridge, a small village nestling at the top of the Rheidol Valley, 12 miles inland from the coastal town of Aberystwyth. It is an ideal base for touring Mid Wales, walking, cycling, mountain biking, birdwatching, fishing or just relaxing and taking in the fresh air. The Caravan Park: Each plot is spacious, individual and is serviced by a tarmac road. All of the holiday homes are privately owned, we do not allow subletting, however family and friends are welcome. Any make of new caravan can be obtained and we are usually able to offer a choice of location on the park. In addition we frequently have used caravans for sale. The Touring Park: The Touring Park is quiet and picturesque, and is away from the static caravans. It has both level hard ground and grassy pitches. Electric hook ups and TV aerial points are available if required. Caravans and tents may be sited together if wished. A cycle shelter is situated in the field. There is a toilet block and shower block. It is advisable to reserve a pitch during the main season or a site with an electric hook up at any time of the season. The 400acre farm offers pleasant walks and beautiful scenery. You can expect to see a Red Kite flying over the site. There is a laundrette and public telephone on site. The camp shop sells groceries, gifts and calor gas and has an adjoining tearoom selling a good breakfast, snacks and homemade cakes. There is a climbing frame, slide, swings, seesaw, table tennis and lots of space to run around. Rates : £10.00 - £12.00 for 2 people. Children are welcome. Pets allowed. Glan-Y-Mor, which literally means ‘view of the sea’, is located between St Davids, the smallest city in Britain, and Caerfai Bay on the St. Davids peninsula. The campsite is within easy walking distance of both the ‘city’ centre (10 minutes walk) and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path (5 minutes walk the opposite way). The beach Caerfai is located just 500 metres to the south and Whitesands bay is just 3 miles to the West. The campsite lies in the grounds of the main house which accommodates a bar, restaurant and luxury apartments. It is a rural location, but is the closest campsite to St Davids, and the only campsite in the area with it’s own bar. We can help organise surf lessons, guided walks, fishing trips and boat trips. We are a small friendly site the Davies family have been running on their farm for the last 50 years. We are open all year round for your family holidays, short breaks or longer stays. Located half a mile west of the small town of Llandysul, accommodating 20 tourers and tents on a sunny meadow sloping down to the river, where we are proud of the 'on site' game fishing. All pitches have electric hookups and we have recently extended our facilities to include hot and cold showers. We have a number of spacious sited caravans of our own which are available for hire. Ty-Gwyn Caravan Park is located on the West Coast of Wales overlooking Cardigan Bay, where dolphins and seals can regularly be found. Mwnt’s sandy beach is only five minutes by car, or a 10 minutes walk. There is a 14th century white washed church and plenty of footpaths along the coast and through the countryside. The view from the caravan park is superb, with beautiful sunsets. The caravan site is on a small farm, where you can see cattle and sheep. It is a family orientated caravan park, with toilet and shower facilities. Dogs are welcome as long as they’re kept under control. Nearby is the small market town of Cardigan, which has a cinema, leisure centre, swimming pool, pubs and restaurants and plenty of local shops and supermarkets. There are plenty of sandy beaches nearby in Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire – Poppit, Tresaith, New Quay, Penbryn to name just a few. Local attractions include a butterfly Centre, a Coastal Farm Park and a Wildlife Centre We cater for tents and caravans. It is advisable to book beforehand in the busy periods, especially if you would like an electric hook up. We also have a static caravan to rent, with prices ranging from £240 to £300, depending on the time of year. We are five miles west of Cardigan – take the B4333 out of Cardigan, and follow the signs for Mwnt. When you reach Mwnt, pass the beach, car park and the church until you reach the caravan park.
