Abermarlais is a riverside park in the heart of unspoilt countryside, surrounded by natural beauty, the sound of a trickling brook and trees that dwarf all else. We have a huge respect and love of this area, so ensure everything on our grounds is maintained to the highest standards. Aside from the bounty nature provides, we have all the up-to-date facilities you would expect. A clean, modern toilet and shower block, electric hook ups and a shop for groceries, the necessities and Calor gas. The focal point of this lovely park is a walled garden that remains on the old Abermarlais Estate. The garden is a perfect suntrap and home to a marvellous children's playground with nets for badminton or soft-ball. If you have very young children, you may prefer to reserve a pitch within the walls so you can take advantage of all the delights and keep a watchful eye on your children as they play. Abermarlais is bordered by lush forest on one side and a nine acre private wood on the other, with children's swings and some very enjoyable walks that complete the picture of this park as a nature lovers’ delight. Serenity for some, wild adventures for others, the Abermarlais Caravan Park offers experiences to match your mood. This peaceful wooded valley site is on the edge of the Brecon Beacon National Park, ideal for nature lovers, birdwatchers and walkers. For those with an interest in history and legend, the area is rich with places to explore, historical buildings, landmark sites and castles. Local towns and villages too have museums, fine architecture, shopping, dining, quaint pubs and restaurants for you to enjoy and all within easy reach. Abermarlais is a riverside park in the heart of unspoilt countryside. We were inspired to create this very special setting by our own caravan holidays on the continent, where we saw just how much you could appreciate the informality and relaxed atmosphere of a “natural” spot to pitch your caravan, motor home or tent – a place where you can truly feel at one with your surroundings. A five-acre main camping area means that we always have plenty of space for our guests, even in the height of the season and there is all the room you’ll need for family fun and games. The river is slow running and only a couple of feet deep, so children can play in it safely if adequately supervised at the inspirational Abermarlais Caravan Park. The local, on-site shop is handy for all your necessities, Calor gas and groceries though you can venture into Llangadog or further afield to the local towns and villages to stock up on other items. The nearby towns of Llandovery and Llandeilo are just six miles away and offer ample choice as well as a pleasant day out exploring what they offer. We are open to visitors every year from the 16th of March through to the 16th of November. All visitors have use of our clean and modern toilet and shower block as well as electric hook-ups and our pricing structure ensures there are no surprises. Rates : Please see website.
