Centred around a typical Anglesey farmhouse and landscaped gardens, the park is set in 5 acres of closely mown grass. Fron is situated close to the Menai Straits and enjoys panoramic views over open countryside and the Snowdonia mountains. The park is personally supervised by the owners who are experienced caravanners themselves. It caters particularly for the discerning family camper and caravanner who will find plenty of interest in this beautiful area. Centrally located modern toilet facilities include hot showers (20p charge), shaver points, hair drying, baby changing, free hot water to the washbasins with soap dispensers and hand dryers. The toilet facilities are lit 24 hours and we pride ourselves on their cleanliness. The utilities room includes laundry, ironing and washing-up facilities. The park shop offers a wide range of goods at competitive prices. We also have a freezer pack service (10p charge). Calor and Camping Gas are stocked and battery charging is available. Fron's outdoor swimming pool has now been fitted with a new polycarbonate tunnel enclosure. It is sectional and can be fully closed in bad weather and opened partly or fully in good weather. We hope the chilly nature of the pool will now be a thing of the past and the sporadic nature of the British summer be less influential on it's use! We hope this addition will add to it's attraction and is free to park users. There is also an adventure playground and swings (age restrictions apply) with lots of space for ball games. Fron provides a separate 2 acre paddock for campers on level grass, whilst caravaners have 2 acres with a choice of grass or hard standings with optional electric hook-up. Parking is alongside pitches and there are tarmac roads throughout the park with a separate visitors car park. There is a chemical disposal facility and water points throughout the park and a public telephone in case you need to 'phone home'. The disabled shower/toilet facility has a dedicated access path, and is solely for disabled customers. The unit comprises toilet, shower and washbasin with consumables provided. The shower has fixed / folding grab rails, fold down seat and adjustable shower head. The shower area is integral to the floor, so there are no steps or lips to negotiate allowing wheelchair access. The toilet has fixed / folding grab rails with plenty of room for either front or side access. The washbasin has fixed grab rails, paddle tap handles, mirror, soap dispenser and paper towels. All fittings have been installed to dimensions recommended by Centre for Accessible Environments (CAE). Many of the top attractions in North Wales are close to hand, Anglesey Sea Zoo, the Butterfly Palace, Open Farms, Plas Newydd ancestral home of the Marquis of Anglesey, Medieval Castles, Ancient Monuments and remains. Outdoors, the area gives breathing space to enjoy walking, riding, sailing or just relaxing on one of Anglesey's many unspoilt beaches. For the sportsman there is a golf course and driving range ten minutes away and bowls, fishing and sailing within easy reach of the site. Two local inns offer bar meals and cater for children. The park has been run by the the Geldard family for 23 years. We have steadily improved the park from it's humble beginnings as a farm with camping field to the Wales Tourist Board Five Star Touring Park that exists today. We have always invested a great deal in trying to improve the park for the benefit of our customers many of whom now return on a regular basis safe in the knowledge of what the park offers. This is at the heart of our management philosophy - the park is run for the benefit of the majority not the minority or individual. Fron is a small, quiet family park and therefore bad behaviour, excessive noise, disrespect for other park users / the owners and the facilities is not tolerated. The management reserves the right to terminate occupation of a pitch if such circumstances apply. Rates : Please see website. Sorry, no groups.
